Abstract Objective To determine sources of key nutrients contributing towards nutritional adequacy during pregnancy (fibre, calcium, iron, zinc and folate) in a cohort of women carrying an Indigenous child. Design Analysis of cross-sectional data from a prospective longitudinal cohort study that followed Indigenous women through pregnancy. Setting Women recruited via antenatal clinics in regional and remote locations in NSW, Australia as part of the Gomeroi gaaynggal project. Executive Summary University Departments of Rural Health (UDRHs) facilitate clinical placements in rural and remote settings throughout Australia for students enrolled in tertiary health courses. UDRHs support students to travel to rural and remote regions, provide accommodation, and ensure clinical learning needs are met for students to complete these placements. Abstract Issue addressed This paper evaluates the effectiveness of an Australian Men's Shed Association's ‘Spanner in the Works?’ health promotion tent in reaching at-risk rural men during a large agricultural event in rural Australia.
