ARHEN Respect: A Training Guide for Health Students

This online course is designed to support health students to build the confidence to speak out against discriminatory and demeaning speech and behaviours they may witness in the course of their training or personal lives.

It provides a range of practical tips and techniques to help you defuse difficult situations and show support to your peers, colleagues, clients and others who may be subject to disrespectful behaviours.

It is based on the successful Speaking Up Against Disrespect training developed by the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health.

The ARHEN Respect module is hosted by the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health on its website. Please note you will need to create an account to access the course.

The online course takes about 45 minutes to complete.

UDRH staff wishing to hold a group training session for students can access a copy of the facilitation guide by contacting the ARHEN National Office.
