ARHEN Research Committee
The ARHEN Research Committee is a sub-committee of the ARHEN Board and meets on a monthly basis. Membership is open to all ARHEN directors.
The role of the ARHEN Research Committee is to develop and progress ARHEN’s strategic research agenda and promote the research capacity and outputs from the University Departments of Rural Health (UDRH).
The current Chair of the ARHEN Research Committee is Professor Sandy Thompson AM.
The objectives of the ARHEN Research Committee are to:
- articulate ARHEN’s strategic research priorities
- develop a forward work program and criteria for any ARHEN supported research activities
- identify opportunities to increase the profile and impact of UDRH research
- identify opportunities for collaborative research across the network
- develop strategies to support research capacity building
- support the ARHEN Chief Executive Officer with engagement with research policy-makers and funders, including identifying opportunities to broker research opportunities.
